These early records of the Town of Bradford were
transcribed by John E. Hardy & Melinde Lutz Byrne.
Melinde Lutz Byrne, cg, fasg, has been a genealogist
since 1976. Author or editor of over forty books and
numerous articles, she currently co-edits the NGS
Quarterly. She has served as an officer in the Oregon
Genealogical Society, Massachusetts Genealogical
Council, New Hampshire Society of Genealogists, and New
England Genealogical Regional Consortium. She is
currently President of the American Society of
Genealogists. As their Program Director, Melinde
designed the Boston University Genealogical Research
Certificate Program, and teaches its Forensic Genealogy
