In Memory of
Mr WILLIAM CARLTON
who departed this life,
May ye 19th AD 1794 in
the 30th year of his age.
A lifeless jump
remains of his you see
T'is all though art and all the proud shall be
Death strikes the features dressed once so gay
And leaves behind a lump of lifeless clay.
